He is a Board-Certified, Fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in sports medicine, minimally invasive arthroscopic procedures, hand and upper extremity treatment and surgery, as well as joint replacements of the shoulder, hip, and knee. Dr. Collard’s practice focuses on both conservative treatment and surgical options when indicated.
Dr. Collard was born and raised in Webb City, Missouri. He received his undergraduate at the University of Missouri-Columbia, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry before being admitted to the University of Health Sciences School of Medicine. After graduating with honors, Dr. Collard completed his Orthopedic Residency at St. Luke’s Des Peres Hospital. His residency included one year of trauma training at St. Louis University Hospital and pediatric orthopedic training at SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center.
Displaying strong leadership throughout his residency, Dr. Collard served as Chief Intern, Trauma Chief, and in his final year, Chief Resident. He was selected and awarded an international fellowship in orthopedic surgery at Insel Hospital in Berne, Switzerland further shaping his skills in the treatment of upper and lower extremity injuries.
He currently serves as Chief of Orthopedics at St. Luke’s Des Peres hospital, President of the Medical Staff at Orthopedic Ambulatory Surgery Center of Chesterfield, and Governor, Board President at Timberlake Surgery Center.
